Lisa Klotzsche
Illustrator and Storyteller
When my life got lonely, I imagined myself as a hero, saving the world and being beloved by everyone. I would make up countless stories of someone who was nothing like me but as I am getting older, I realise that my lived experience and who I was had value and there are other people who are just like me. My goal is to offer representation, escapism and hope for neurodivergent and queer people through vibrant, colorful and detailed illustrations and graphic novels which also include my interests of history and fashion history. Currently I am particularly interested and inspired in 1970s East Germany, but previously my interest were connected to Baroque in Western Europe as well as Renaissance in Saxony.
